Bajaj Auto receives approval for 13 vehicles under PLI scheme: Exclusive
Bajaj Auto has received approval for production-linked incentives (PLI) for all 13 vehicles it applied for, making it the only company to achieve this across its full range of products. The approval includes both two- and three-wheelers, with Bajaj Auto meeting the domestic value addition criteria. The PLI scheme for the automobile sector was significantly increased to ₹3,500 crore in the 2024-25 Budget, up from ₹484 crore in 2023-24. The scheme has attracted proposed investments totaling ₹67,690 crore, as reported in the Economic Survey 2023-24.
